Ella naci\u00f3 y creci\u00f3 en Sicuani, un pueblo peque\u00f1o de la regi\u00f3n del Cusco en el sur de Per\u00fa. Su madre, padre y la mayor parte de su familia son nativos hablantes del Quechua, sin embargo su generaci\u00f3n habla menos el Quechua debido al rechazo hist\u00f3rico y discriminaci\u00f3n a los Quechua hablantes. Durante sus estudios de pregrado en Ciencias de la Comunicaci\u00f3n en la Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco particip\u00f3 en espacios radiales biling\u00fces en emisoras locales de su regi\u00f3n. Ello la motiv\u00f3 a ser parte del programa de egresados afroperuanos e ind\u00edgenas de USAID en el que trabaj\u00f3 con pueblos ind\u00edgenas del Per\u00fa. Su inter\u00e9s en incidencia social la motiv\u00f3 a realizar una maestr\u00eda en Gerencia Social en la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Per\u00fa y una maestr\u00eda en Gerencia de Empresas Sociales en la Universidad de EAFIT Colombia. El nombre de su comunidad significa en la lengua Quechua Rojo Rojo debido al color de la tierra. Actualmente estudia el doctorado en Lenguas y Culturas y Ib\u00e9ricas y Latinoamericanas en el Departamento de Espa\u00f1ol y Portugu\u00e9s. Forma parte del programa del programa Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS) de la Universidad de Texas y es integrante del colectivo Quechua Tinkuy. Su \u00e1rea de inter\u00e9s es la experiencia del pueblo Quechua en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, particularmente en las emisoras radiales desde la segunda mitad del siglo pasado hasta la actualidad. Sus estudios de pregrado son en periodismo en la Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco y la maestr\u00eda en Gerencia Social en la Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Per\u00fa.
